Protect Your Information

Guard your card. Your ATM card is a tool to obtain cash, treat it the same as you would currency, a check or credit card.

Protect your PIN. Keep your personal identification number private. Memorize your number and do not reveal it to anyone, not even your banker. Shield the entry of you PIN with your hand and your body to prevent someone from viewing it.

Keep your receipt. Your receipt is an important record of a transaction and should be reconciled with your statement regularly. Leaving your receipt at the ATM could give fraudsters access to your personal account information.

Report lost or stolen cards. Call your bank or credit union the minute you realize your card is missing. This is the best way to ensure funds are not stolen from your account.
